Method
- Create a paste with dry mustard, butter, and minced garlic; spread all over the roast.
- Chop an onion and scatter in the crock pot; place the coated roast on top and sprinkle with white sugar.
- Cover and cook on low for 8-10 hours or on high for 4-5 hours until fork-tender.
- Drain drippings into a saucepan, add garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, and Bisto; boil and stir until thickened. Pour gravy over sliced roast.
Notes
Use honey or maple syrup as a healthier substitute for white sugar.
