- Brown the hot Italian sausages in a large pot until no pink remains.
- Add chicken broth and stewed tomatoes to the pot.
- Stir in thyme and basil.
- Bring to a boil, then add shell macaroni, red kidney beans, and chickpeas.
- Simmer until pasta is tender, about 8-10 minutes.
- Serve with grated parmesan cheese on top.
Notes
Use freshly grated parmesan cheese for enhanced flavor instead of pre-grated.
