- Heat a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground turkey or beef.
- While the meat cooks, drizzle in sesame oil and hot chili oil to infuse Asian flavors.
- Add light soy sauce, black pepper, minced garlic, stir fry seasoning, and teriyaki sauce.
- When the meat is halfway browned, add chopped green onions and coleslaw mix.
- Continue cooking until meat is completely browned and cabbage is softened slightly but still crunchy.
- Meanwhile, wash the iceberg lettuce and carefully separate the leaves, keeping them whole.
- Scoop a generous portion of the hot filling into the center of each cold lettuce leaf.
- Fold the sides of the lettuce over the filling, wrap into a bundle, and serve.
Notes
Use fresh, intact lettuce leaves for easy wrapping and adjust chili oil to taste for desired spice level.
