  • 1 lb king crab meat fresh, frozen, or imitation
  • 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 3 tablespoons mustard
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 small onion minced
  • 1/2 green bell pepper minced
  • 1/2 red bell pepper minced
  • 1 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon parsley
  • as needed oil for cooking

  • ice cream scoop
  • non-stick pan

Method
 

  1. In a large bowl, combine the king crab meat, mayonnaise, mustard, eggs, minced onion, green bell pepper, red bell pepper, seasoned bread crumbs, and parsley. Mix thoroughly until well incorporated.
  2. Using an ice cream scoop, portion the mixture into 12 equal portions and shape into patties, flattening each with your palm.
  3. Heat oil in a non-stick pan over medium heat until shimmering but not smoking.
  4. Fry the crab cakes for 3-5 minutes per side, or until golden brown and firm to the touch. Serve with lemon wedges, tartar sauce, or aioli as desired.

Notes

Use an ice cream scoop to portion the mixture evenly for uniform cooking and professional presentation.
