- Fill a large pot with 10 quarts of water and bring to a rolling boil. Add the bag of shrimp boil seasoning and return to a boil.
- Add the red potatoes and boil for 15 minutes until tender.
- Add the corn and smoked sausage, and boil for another 15 minutes.
- Add the shrimp and boil for 8-10 minutes until pink and cooked through.
- Drain the pot using a strainer basket and dump the mixture onto newspaper-covered tables. Serve immediately with melted butter and hot sauce.
Notes
To avoid rubbery texture, carefully monitor shrimp cooking time—they only need 8-10 minutes in the boiling broth.
